TCS agrees deal with Rolls-Royce

The deal with TCS relates to Rolls-Royce aviation, not Rolls-Royce Motors which separated from the aviation business back in 1973. Under the arrangement TCS will set up an engineering centre in Bangalore to cater exclusively to Rolls Royce design and engineering requirements. No figures relating to the deal were released by either Tata Consultancy Services or Rolls-Royce.

On the partnership, Anil Shrikhande, President of Rolls-Royce India said that “India is a strategically significant market as well as an increasingly important technology services location for Rolls-Royce. The new collaboration with TCS will give us additional quality and cycle-time advantages.\”

The TCS Vice President and Global Head for Engineering and Industrial Services, Regu Ayyaswamy said “This partnership with Rolls-Royce is significant to TCS. This will lead to high quality engineering solutions and services from TCS for complex aero engines under the Rolls-Royce standards of excellence.\”
