New Payment Method For Premium Appointments in Glasgow and Cardiff

From July 25th the UK Boarder Agency (UKBA) are changing payment arrangements for customers using their premium same-day at Glasgow and Cardiff public enquiry offices. No longer will there be cashiers to receive in those locations. If you are attending an appointment in Glasgow or Cardiff, there will be 3 ways that you can pay your application fee: payment in person by credit or debit card, postal payment in advance and for some applications online payment is available.

If using a credit or debit card you will be able to pay your application fee on the day of the appointment. Within the application form the ‘Payment details’ section should be completed including card details and provide this when you arrive at the public enquiry office. The payment is processed remotely and a copy of the payment acknowledgement letter (including a unique payment reference number) will be faxed to the public enquiry office to confirm payment.

Postal payment in advance is a second alternate through using a banker’s draft, postal order, debit card or credit card. Payment by cash is not possible. It is advised to send payment by post at least six working days before the appointment. This will ensure that we have time to receive and process your payment, and to send you an acknowledgement letter confirming payment and containing a unique payment reference number, before your appointment. The confirmation letter must be brought to the appointment.

A payment form must be included with the postal payment. The relevant payment form for your application type is available for download from the UKBA. If you are applying under the point-based system with your dependants, you should download, complete and send both application forms. You should send the form(s) and your application fee(s) to the address shown on the forms. Do not send your application form and supporting documents with your payment. You should bring these with you to your appointment, with your payment acknowledgement letter.

Where using the forms: SET (O), SET(M), FLR(O), FLR(M) or NTL to make your application, you can also choose to pay for and prepare your application online at the UK Boarder Agency website. Online payments need to be made at least 48 hours before your appointment. When the payment has been made an electronic receipt will be emailed containing a unique payment reference number. This reference number should be brought to the appointment as proof of payment along with the printout of your online application form and supporting documents.

Where you have paid an application fee in advance and you need to reschedule or cancel a premium service appointment contact the immigration enquiry bureau through the UKBA website. Where an appointment has been cancelled a return can take up to four weeks to be made.
